Madiwala Ayyappa Swamy Temple History
In 1977, the Madiwala Ayyappa Swamy Temple, which is in the middle of Bangalore’s Garden City, began as a small Bhajana Mandir. In 1997, Sabarimala Thantri Brahmasri Neelakantararu led the prathishta (Installation Ceremony) of Lord Ayyappan in the Panchaloha idol. Later in 2007, in the presence of sabarimala Thantri Kantararu Mohanaruru, Panchaloha Dhwajasthambam, Navagraha, and Naga were installed. At the same time, Mahakumbabhishekam was done. Lord Ganapathy, Lord Subramanya, Lord Vishnu, Lord Siva, and Devi are some of the other gods in the Temple. Lord Madiwala Ayyappan is also known as the Children’s God, or Kulanthai Daivam.
Architecture
The most important part of the temple is the sanctum sanctorum, which has a copper-covered roof and four golden tops. The Temple was built according to the rules of Kerala temple architecture.
